Lapka Holds On; Arnwine Sits Tall
Players were in a limped pot with Justin Lapka in the small blind and Spencer Champlin in the big blind. The pair were looking at a 3♦K♥6♦ board, and both checked to the 9♠ turn.
Lapka was down to his last ~200,000 and took some time before opting to check. Champlin checked behind, and the pair were taken to the K♣ river. Lapka checked, Champlin asked for 50,000, which was still too much for Lapka, and he mucked his cards.
A few hands later, Lapka was seen open-jamming from the hijack and scooping up the blinds.
On the table across, Honghao Zhang opened to 50,000 from the hijack and Justin Arnwine called from the cutoff.
The K♥J♣10♦ flop was quickly checked through to the 7♣ turn and 2♣ river, where Zhang bet out 80,000. Arnwine was quick to fold, passing a small pot across the table. He remained one of the leaders of the pack mid-way through Day 3.
