Hellmuth Shocks His Table By Calling With an Eight

Level 18 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 24,000 ante

Naoya Kihara raised to 48,000 on the button and Phil Hellmuth called in the big blind.

Hellmuth drew one, while Kihara drew two. Kihara then bet 105,000, and Hellmuth snap-called.

Kihara showed 9x8x7x4x2x, but Hellmuth had 8x6x5x4x2x. Shaun Deeb burst out laughing, while Dan Shak had a shocked look on face after Hellmuth had just called with an 8-6.

"That's one of the worst hands I've ever witnessed," Deeb said.

"That's why you're not a champion in this game. You miss some stuff," Hellmuth replied.
