Tahar Sends Sgrilletti Packing
Level 27
: Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Martin Sgrilletti shoved for 1,118,000 from under the gun and was called by Said Tahar in the big blind to be at risk.
Martin Sgrilletti: A♦Q♠
Said Tahar: A♣10♥
Sgrilletti had Tahar dominated, but not after the flop when the dealer fanned out 10♣A♠K♥ to give Tahar two pair. Sgrilletti was far from out of it, however, as he was still drawing live to a straight and a better two pair.
The 8♦ altered nothing between them, and the 9♣ river completed the board as Sgrilletti was eliminated.
