'Til The River Do Us Part
Level 9
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Play was picked up with roughly 55,000 in the pot and a 7♦Q♠6♦ flop face up on the felt.
The action was on Alex Foxen in the big blind, and he checked over to his wife, Kristen Foxen, in the cutoff. Kristen bet 20,000, and quickly faced a check-raise to 60,000, which she called.
Alex continued for 75,000 on the 2♠ turn, and again, Kristen called.
The 6♠ river completed the backdoor flush, and Alex chose to check. Kristen responded by betting 200,000, which put Alex deep into the tank. After utilizing a time extension, he elected to fold.
"Choose one," Kristen said, as she slid her cards face down towards Alex, who peeled the J♠.
"I knew I made the right decision; the K♦ would have been painful to see," Alex surmised.
