Spades No Good for Soverel
Level 14
: Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Boris Angelov opened to 60,000 from early position and Sam Soverel three-bet to 520,000, leaving just 5,000 behind. Giuseppe Calio four-bet for 525,000 from the cutoff and action went back to Angelov who folded his 8♦8♣. Soverel moved in his last chip to call, and the players went to showdown.
Sam Soverel: 9♠9♥
Giuseppe Calio: A♣Q♠
Soverel was looking strong, but the 6♠4♠J♠ flop brought in a sweat of the flush. The J♥ was a safe turn for Soverel, but he crashed out after the 3♠ river was placed.
