Zanot Doubles Through Arieh, Silver Latest to Fall
Level 24
: Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Josh Arieh opened to 100,000 in the hijack, and called when Thomas Zanot three-bet to 360,000 on the button.
The dealer spread a 6♦7♦9♣ flop, and Arieh slid a stack of chips into the middle; more than enough to cover the 150,000 Zanot had behind. Zanot called, and the cards were flipped over.
Thomas Zanot: A♠A♥8♦6♠
Josh Arieh: J♦4♦3♥2♥
Zanot was ahead, but had several outs to dodge. The 10♥ turn improved him to a straight, and the 10♣ river was a brick that confirmed his survival and a full double up.
On a neighbouring table, Nate Silver was eliminated in 21st place.
