Action begins at 2 p.m. local time on June 4 with Event #21: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better at the 2026 World Series of Poker at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. This split-pot variant combines the aggression of pot-limit betting with the strategic depth of Omaha Hi-Lo, making it a favorite among mixed-game and Omaha specialists alike.
This event offers players the chance to showcase their ability to scoop pots and navigate complex post-flop decisions in one of poker’s most nuanced formats.
$1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better entrants begin play at 2 p.m. local time on June 4 with a 25,000 starting stack. Day 1 is scheduled to play 15 levels, each lasting 40 minutes, with regular breaks after every 3 levels. Late registration remains open through Level 9, allowing players the opportunity to enter or reenter (two reentries per player) during the early stages of play.
Day 2 continues on Friday, June 5, with the field narrowing as players navigate the split-pot format and progress deeper into the tournament. PokerNews Live coverage of this event will begin on Day 2.
Day 3 (June 6) sees the remaining players return to crown a champion, with play continuing until a winner is determined.
Zachary Zaret captured the title in 2025, topping a field of 1,176 entries to win $248,245 and his first WSOP bracelet.
The $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better event has become a popular stop on the WSOP schedule, attracting players who thrive in split-pot formats and enjoy the added complexity of pot-limit betting.
