Lou Smashes Ruha's Trips with Rivered Straight

Stephen Ma opened to 1,000,000 under the gun and Sam Ruha in hijack three-bet to 2,800,000. When action folded to the big blind, Brayden Lou went beyond and four-bet to 9,000,000.

Ma got out of the way, but Ruha made the call to see the flop drop 9J7. After action checked to him, Ruha fired 1,500,000. Lou shoved all-in for 8,350,000, sending Ruha to the tank.

He asked for a count and was visibly mumbling, calculating what to do next. He finally made the call taking them to the ensuing showdown.

Ruha held the lead with top pair and gained more ground when the turn revealed J.

But Lou completed his straight draw on the river 10, stealing the lead, which evoked a unified groan of sympathy for Ruha.
