Mor Hits the River to Scoop Choi to the Rail

Level 9

Big O

Kevin Choi bet 10,000 from the hijack on a flop of 8Q6 and Ofir Mor called in the cutoff, as did Eli Elezra in the big blind.

The turn was the 10 and Choi moved all in for 24,500. Mor called, while Elezra got out of the way.

Choi showed AKJ83, while Mor had A9622. The 7 river gave Mor a straight and the low to scoop the pot, and Choi was sent to the rail.

"Gus Plays Every Hand!"

Level 9

Big O

"Gus, it must be hard for you to sleep at night because your mind is always racing," Jean-Robert Bellande said to Gus Hansen.

"My mind is as f**ked up as they come," Hansen replied.

"People like playing with Gus. He plays every hand!" Bellande added as he opened to 3,000 on the button and, sure enough, Hansen called in the big blind.

Both players checked the Q610 flop. Hansen then bet 7,000 on the A turn, and Bellande called.

The river was the K and Hansen fired out another 5,500. Bellande quickly folded.

"Alright, now I have raising chips," Hansen said.

Sternheimer Sends Lonis Deep Into the Tank

Level 8

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better

James Obst raised to 2,400 on the button and was called by Philip Sternheimer and Jesse Lonis in the blinds.

The flop came 7J9 and Lonis bet 4,200. Obst and Sternheimer called to the Q turn, where Lonis bet another 20,000. Obst folded this time, while Sternheimer called.

The river was the 7 and Sternheimer bet 37,000, leaving himself one 500 chip behind. "It would be so sick if you rivered me," Lonis said as he tanked for several minutes. Sternheimer lowered his head with his eyes closed while Lonis continued to agonize over the decision. He eventually folded, and Sternheimer took the pot.

Shack-Harris Bets Big on the River

Level 8

Big O

Ryan Hoenig bet 2,000 from under the gun on a flop of K65 and Duane Fontenot called on the button, as did Brandon Shack-Harris in the big blind.

Hoenig bet another 9,000 on the 9 turn, and both Fontenot and Shack-Harris again called. The river was the 6 and Shack-Harris led out for 36,000.

Hoenig quickly folded, while Fontenot tanked for a few minutes before also giving up his hand. "Of all the cards I wanted to see on the river, that wasn't one of them. And there were a lot," Fontenot said.

Picking up the action on fifth street, Richard Ashby bet, and Steve Billirakis reluctantly tossed in a call. Ashby bet again on sixth street, and Billirakis called to seventh street.

Ashby bet a final time and accidentally showed a queen-low when Billikaris raised. He then opted to fold, sending the chips to Billikaris without showdown.
