Miscounted But Doubled Nonetheless
Level 7
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Sam Soverel opened to 20,000 on the button, and when the small blind got out of the way, Ren Lin slid a stack of chips into the middle, covering Soverel's stack.
Soverel took his time in making a decision, utilising two time extensions while letting Lin know that he actually thought he had 260,000 in his stack, not 160,000. Ultimately, he opted to call.
Sam Soverel: A♦5♦
Ren Lin: 3♥3♣
The 8♣5♣Q♦ flop fired Soverel into the lead, and he stayed there, earning a double up, when the 8♥ turn and 6♣ river completed the board.
