Zerjav Makes a Prudent Check

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Blaz Zerjav opened to 500 in middle position before Ted Jackson-Spivack potted to 1,800 on the button. In the big blind, Darrell Hopkins cold-called and Zerjav came along as well.

The KJ2 flop checked through to the J turn which saw Hopkins check a second time to Zerjav who bet 2,700, and only Hopkins called.

The 9 river checked through and Hopkins grimaced as he showed AJ93 for a full house, jacks full of nines, as he was unable to get another bet out of Zerjav.

Jackson-Spivack has already enjoyed a strong start to the day, as he looks to better his ninth place finish in this event in 2026.
