Alan Keating has dominated Hustler Casino Live's Million Dollar Game over the past few years. But he'll be facing perhaps his toughest lineup as the $1 million buy-in cash game moves to the World Series of Poker (WSOP) feature table on Friday.
Vladimir Minko opened to 160,000 holding K♣J♣ under the gun. It folded to Danny Tang in the big blind, who defended 3♥3♣.
The 10♠8♦4♥ flop and A♣ turn were checked by both. Tang checked again on the A♥ turn, seeing his opponent bet 225,000.
Tang spent some time in the tank before he mucked his baby pair, and Minko raked in the chips with his bluff.
John Kincaid opened to 175,000 from the cutoff with 10♥8♥ but Sam Soverel on the button three-bet to 460,000 with A♠2♣.
Alex Kulev in the small blind picked up Q♠Q♣ and four-bet to 1,800,000. He made both Kincaid and Soverel fold.
Brandon Wilson was first to act and raised to 160,000 with 10♦9♦. Teun Mulder just flat-called Q♦Q♣ in the next seat over, inviting big blind Artur Martirosian to squeeze in a three-bet to 920,000 with A♣10♠.
Wilson immediately mucked his cards, but Mulder called after spending one of his time banks. Martirosian spent one of his own time extensions before putting his opponent all in for 3,195,000 on the 7♥8♦9♣ flop.
Being two away from the money, Mulder did not want to risk his average stack, and he tossed his overcards into the muck to forfeit the pot.
Arriving on the 10♠6♠5♦ flop with 520,000 in the pot, Alex Kulev bet 130,000 under the gun with J♦10♦ and was called by Alex Foxen's A♦Q♥ in the hijack. The 6♥ turn was then checked through to the 7♥ river.
Kulev reaggressed with a bet of 390,000. Foxen correctly mucked his ace-high, and the pot was shipped to Kulev.
Jovan Kenjic in the cutoff raised to 160,000. Alexandros Theologis in the big blind three-bet to 360,000, Kenjic moved all-in for 1,060,000 and Theologis snap-called.
Jovan Kenjic: 10♣10♥
Alexandros Theologis: A♦A♣
Kenjic ran into aces and was eliminated on 6♠K♦6♥J♥K♠. Two more eliminations are now needed to reach the money.
Chris Hunichen found A♠A♥ in the cutoff and raised to 165,000. Danny Tang defended 10♥8♥ in the big blind, and the Q♥6♣8♠ flop was fanned. Tang checked before he called Hunichen's bet of 215,000.
Hunichen sized up to 575,000 on the K♠ turn, but Tang quickly folded his middle pair to give up on the pot.
Alexandros Theologis in the hijack opened and Andrew Lichtenberger slow-played A♠A♥ by calling from the big blind.
The dealer fanned a flop of 9♣10♦2♥ and Theologis bet 110,000. Lichtenberger check-called and check-called a second barrel to 220,000 on the 10♠ turn.
The 2♠ landed on the river and Lichtenberger checked once more. Theologis moved all-in and Lichtenberger snap-called off his last 690,000, only to run into Theologis' trips with A♦10♥.
Biao Ding limped in from the small blind. Artur Martirosian was in the big blind and raised to 300,000. Ding called, and did the same when Martirosian continued for 225,000 on the 7♦9♦10♥ flop.
The K♣ turn was then checked by both players, leading to the 6♣ appearing on the river. Ding made a small bet of 225,000, which Martirosian raised to 1,100,000.
Ding took some time before three-betting to 2,000,000. Martirosian made a quick, albeit reluctant call, only for Ding to show Q♥J♦ for the nut straight.
Martirosian mucked a lower straight with 8♦4♥ as the sizable pot was shipped to Ding.
