Welsh Puts His Streak on the Line

Level 8 : Limits 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Kerry Welsh was explaining how he had cashed at least one Limit Hold'em event at each of the last six WSOPs, including two final tables, when he three-bet in the big blind. Kyle Ray four-bet under the gun, and Welsh called.

The flop came Q33 and Ray bet. Welsh then raised, Ray reraised, and Welsh called.

Ray bet again on the 2 turn, and Welsh called, leaving himself just one 500 chip behind. He then put it in on the J river, and Ray called.

Welsh turned over AQ, but Ray had AA to win the pot and send Welsh to the rail.

"Well, that's my day," Welsh said as he made his exit.
