Juan Rodriguez raised from under the gun to 800,000, and Qing Lu defended her big blind with a call. The flop came out with 3310. Lu checked to the preflop raiser, who bet 500,000. Lu called.

Action slowed down on the turn 4, and the river 7 as both players checked.

When it folded to Juan Rodriguez in the small blind, he raised to 1,100,000 and Chad Lipton jammed for 5,300,000 from the big blind. Rodriguez snap-called.

Chad Lipton: A3 All in
Juan Rodriguez: QQ

Lipton was in bad shape, and Rodriguez had the chance to record his third elimination of the day.

The dealer fanned the 248 flop and Rodriguez said to Lipton, "That's about as good of a flop as you could hope for, Chad."

Lipton didn't flinch and simply stared at the spot where the turn card would land.

The dealer put out the 2 turn, and Rodriguez shouted to his rail, "We're gonna hold, we're gonna hold!"

However, the river had other ideas as the A completed the runout, giving Lipton one of the cards he needed to survive

Poker G.O.A.T. Phil Ivey's deepest run of the 2026 World Series of Poker came to an end in the most expensive tournament on the schedule.

The 11-time bracelet winner was eliminated in eighth place in the $250,000 Super High Roller for $553,270 after running pocket jacks into the pocket queens of Bryn Kenney at the official final table.

While the result falls short of bracelet number 12, it still represents Ivey's best finish of the summer and his first final-table appearance of the series.

The tournament attracted 56 entries and generated a $13,720,000 prize pool, with a first-place prize of $4,334,411 awaiting the eventual champion.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

When it folded to Marc Rivera in the small blind, he jammed for 3,100,000. Qing Lu peeked at her cards before quickly making the call to put Rivera at risk.

Marc Rivera: J10 All in
Qing Lu: KK

Rivera had shoved directly into Lu's premium pocket pair and needed help from the board to keep the tournament five-handed.

The A85 flop was no help to Rivera, leaving him needing running cards to survive.

The 3 turn left Rivera drawing dead, making the 7 river a mere formality.

Rivera wished the remaining four players good luck as he exited in fifth place, while Lu's stack climbed to over 16,000,000.
