Foxen Forces Out Yockey to Extend Lead
Bryce Yockey and Brevin Andreadis limped in before Alex Foxen made it 220,000 to go on the button and Yockey was the only caller to then check his option on the 10♠8♣5♥ flop. Foxen continued for 225,000 and Yockey called.
The very same action repeated on the 5♦ turn albeit for 410,000 and Yockey then checked the 10♦ on the river. Foxen now used one time bank extension and then fired a pot-sized bet of 1,830,000 which had Yockey covered by a very marginal amount.
Yockey instantly grabbed all his five remaining time banks and splashed them out in front of his stack. Ultimately, he ended up using all five and folded with two seconds to spare before all of his eligible time ran out.
"Oh man, I think I would have gone broke against you one year ago," Yockey exclaimed.
"Was it something that changed in you or me?" Foxen countered and Yockey replied "me".
Jason Mercier joined the conversation and asked what cards Yockey had, guessing three fives, ace ten and pocket nines in that order.
While this very long hand played out, Aaron Kupin lost his final four big blinds to become one of the last casualties of the night.
