Gryko Doubles Off Kornuth
Eelis Parssinen raised to 210,000 from under the gun and was called by Biao Ding in the next seat, Alex Foxen defended the big blind. Foxen led the 5♦3♥2♣ flop for 180,000 and both his opponents folded.
Foxen grabbed two of his cards and tossed the 2♦2♠ to the other side of the table where Ding wasn't paying attention. Chenxiang Miao pointed out to him that Foxen had shown the deuces.
"I tried to show for you Ding," Foxen said and then added "ace queen deuce deuce double suit".
Another player then asked Ding "didn't you play ace nine four from under the gun earlier?" to which Ding replied "double suit".
Chance Kornuth then limped the cutoff and Foxen did so from the small blind, Pärssinen in the big blind checked. They checked to the A♥6♣4♠10♥ turn on which Foxen checked again. Pärssinen bet 175,000 and Kornuth called, Foxen folded. The 6♥ river was checked and Pärssinen revealed the J♥9♥8♥6♦ for a flush to win the pot.
Kornuth's next raise was repotted to 720,000 by Richard Gryko in a duel hijack versus cutoff, Kornuth called. On the Q♦4♥3♦ flop, the remaining chips went in with Gryko at risk for 580,000.
Richard Gryko: K♣K♦J♦7♦
Chance Kornuth: A♠K♥7♠5♥
Kornuth had some outs but the 3♠ turn was not among them, nor was the K♠ river which improved Gryko further to kings full of treys.
