Martinez Gonzalez Leads the Way
Level 25
: Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Aaron Mermelstein limped the small blind and then called when Sergio Martinez Gonzalez in the big blind made it another 250,000 to go on top of that. On the A♠A♦9♦ flop, Mermelstein check-called for 275,000 and repeated the same action on the 8♦ turn for 450,000.
Both opted to check down the 7♠ on the river and Mermelstein exposed the A♥J♥ for trips aces first. Martinez Gonzalez had that beat with the J♠10♦9♠5♦ for a flush to extend his lead over this table and across the final two tables.
