In a small pot of 48,000, Antoine Sankari in the small blind and Ka Kwan Lau in the big blind had reached the A529 turn. Sankari then bet 25,000, which Lau raised to 100,000.

Sankari called after some thought, seeing the 8 appear on the river. After Sankari had checked, Lau announced a pot-sized bet of 248,000. Sankari went deep into the tank, as calling would leave him with just 3,000 in chips.

Eventually, Sankari slammed in a tower of chips to call. Lau tabled AJ43 for a straight to the five, and Sankari mucked his cards in frustration.

Sankari's final chips were committed the very next hand, but he could not mount a comeback and was eliminated instead.
