Painful Exit for Frigeria
Level 21
: Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Vincent Frigeria open-jammed for his remaining 35,000 in the cutoff, and Ryan Eriquezzo reraised on the button. The blinds folded, and the players were left to go to a heads-up showdown, with Frigeria at risk of elimination.
Vincent Frigeria: 2♣2♥
Ryan Eriquezzo: A♦6♦
The 2♦8♣3♦ flop saw Frigeria pick up a set of deuces, keeping him ahead; he just had to fade a diamond on the turn and river.
A J♠ turn was safe for him, but the K♦ river gave Eriquezzo the flush, and he was eliminated from the tournament halfway through the first level of the day.
