Maor Zaharagi raised to 300,000 in middle position with A♠8♣ and David Tovar called in the hijack with A♣J♣.
Both players connected on the 8♦3♥A♥ flop, but Zaharagi had the best of it with two pair. He bet 250,000 and Tovar called, bringing the 2♠ turn.
Zaharagi bet again, this time for 850,000, and Tovar called again to see the 10♠ river. Zaharagi moved all in for 1,580,000 to put himself at risk, and Tovar thought for a moment before giving up his hand.
Bo Chen raised to 300,000 in middle position and Adam Walton three-bet jammed in the cutoff for 800,000 to put himself at risk. Chen made the call.
Adam Walton: K♦J♦
Bo Chen: A♣5♣
The flop came 10♣3♥8♠ with Chen's ace-high still in the lead. Walton picked up a gutshot on the 7♠ turn, but couldn't get there when the A♦ rolled off on the river.
Joshua Steinberg raised to 300,000 in middle position and Brandon Eisen, who was down to just two big blinds in the big blind, made the call to put himself at risk.
Brandon Eisen: 5♣3♥
Joshua Steinberg: 7♠7♣
Eisen picked up an open-ended straight draw on the 6♦8♦4♠ flop, but only had four clean outs with a deuce after the 8♠ fell on the turn.
Eisen found a duck on the 2♣ river to keep his tournament hopes alive.
Daniel Mcginnis completed in the small blind with Q♠8♦ and Bruno Desimoni raised to 500,000 in the big blind with 9♥5♠. Mcginnis called and the flop came Q♥6♣A♠.
Mcginnis check-called a bet of 300,000, bringing the 7♦ turn, where Mcginnis check-called again, this time for 500,000.
The 8♥ landed on the river, giving Mcginnis two pair, while Desimoni improved to a straight. Mcginnis checked once more and Desimoni moved all in for 1,225,000. Mcginnis made the call and the pot was pushed Desimoni's way.
Level: 30
Blinds: 100,000/150,000
Ante: 150,000
Action went heads up to a flop of 8♦J♥4♥ in a hand between Michael Monroig in late position and Warren O'Brien on the button.
With 780,000 in the middle, both players checked to the Q♣ turn. Michael Monroig held 8♠8♥ for a set, while O'Brien had K♠10♣ for an open-ender.
Monroig bet 450,000 and O'Brien called, bringing the K♦ river. Monroig moved all in to put O'Brien at risk, who had 1,160,000 behind. O'Brien thought for a moment with top pair before reluctantly making the call, only to see the bad news.
Maor Zaharagi raised to 275,000 in the cutoff and Hajime Watanabe three-bet shoved in the big blind for 900,000 to put himself at risk. Zaharagi called.
Hajime Watanabe: K♦Q♦
Maor Zaharagi: A♦9♦
Watanabe pulled ahead on the K♥9♥J♦ flop, pairing his king, but Zaharagi retook the lead on the A♥ turn, improving to two pair.
The Q♣ river offered no help to Watanabe and he was sent to the rail.
Rob Kuhn raised to 235,000 from under the gun and Freddy Caisson called in the big blind for 235,000 total to put himself at risk.
Freddy Caisson: 7♠4♠
Rob Kuhn: A♦K♦
Caisson paired his four on the Q♠5♦4♥ flop, but Kuhn hit running diamonds when the board ran out J♦, 4♦ to hit a flush and send Caisson packing.
Antony Rubin was already all in and at risk from the big blind for his last 1,700,000, and covered by his neighbour Joseph Liberta in the small blind. The cards were on their backs and the board was dealt, with the pair looking at the 6♠9♣5♦J♣10♠ runout. Given that only the ante bet was in the middle, the two had gone all in pre-flop.
Antony Rubin: 10♣8♣
Joseph Liberta: K♣5♣
Rubin hit a ten on the river to secure the double up, and the stacks evened out.
