Negreanu Doubles to Leave Koon on Fumes
Level 6
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
"Six-way raise pre," Gruffudd Pugh-Jones said as the flop came Q♠K♣9♥. Jason Koon then bet 20,000 from the hijack and Amir Mirrasouli called in the cutoff, while Daniel Negreanu also called on the button. The rest of the table got out of the way.
Koon bet another 80,000 on the 8♠ turn, and only Negreanu called this time. Koon then bet 175,000 on the A♦ river, and Negreanu moved all in.
Koon instantly tossed K♠J♣J♥ into the muck and said he folded, but a count showed Negreanu didn't have enough to cover his bet. Negreanu ended up turning over J♠10♦9♦7♥ for the nut straight to win the pot and double up, leaving Koon with just 10,000.
