Soverel Flops the World to Bust Lonis
Jared Bleznick raised to 15,000 under the gun and was called by Christopher Frank in the hijack and Sam Soverel in the cutoff. Jesse Lonis then potted to 81,000 in the small blind, and all three opponents called.
"Are we all on freerolls? Is that what we're doing? Blez is going to bust us then buy us back in," Soverel said as they saw a flop of 9♣3♣3♦.
"This might be the toughest tournament in the world," Bleznick added.
Lonis then moved all in for 210,000 and Bleznick and Frank folded, but Soverel snap-called.
Jesse Lonis: A♦A♠5♠2♣
Sam Soverel: Q♣Q♠3♠3♥
Lonis turned over two aces, but he was already drawing incredibly thin as Soverel had flopped quads. The board ran out 8♠J♦, and Lonis was sent to the rail.
"Is that one of the best hands of your life?" Bleznick asked Soverel.
"It's up there," Soverel replied.
