Chivukula Gives Van Ravenswoud a Discount; Kihara Loses Some More to Cowen

Level 22 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Venkat Chivukula limped in from middle position and Carlo van Ravenswoud raised to 425,000 in the cutoff. Chivukula called, and they saw a flop of 39A.

Van Ravenswoud then bet 300,000, and Chivukula asked the dealer the pot size. When told it was 2,050,000, he slid forward 2,000,000. "Discount," he said to Van Ravenswoud.

"Thank you," Van Ravenswoud replied as he quickly folded. Chivukula showed him AA as he took the pot.

The next hand, Robert Cowen raised to 250,000 in the cutoff, and Naoya Kihara called in the big blind.

Both players checked the 28J flop. Cowen then bet 580,000 on the 2 turn, and Kihara called.

The river was the 3, and Cowen bet another 580,000. Kihara folded this time.
