There are just 53 players remaining after Day 1 of Event #56: $3,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em.
These lucky survivors are all that remains of a field of 1,150 entries. In total, these entrants put $3,075,0500 into the prize pool.
Naseem Salem finished the day with the biggest stack. He bagged 2,025,000 in chips, according to the WSOPLive app. Just behind him are Abhishek Mhatre (1,955,000) and Ying Zhu (1,885,000).
Brandon Sheils (1,470,000) and Poker author Maria Konnikova also made the top ten.

Among the survivors were bracelet winners Colin Robinson (1,255,000), Anthony Spinella (1,170), poker hall of famer Nick Schulman (875,000), and Barak Wisbrod (795,000).
Other notables who found a bag included Jun Obara (1,230,000), Paulina Loeliger (1,100,000), and Thomas Eychenne (810,000).
Play will resume at 1:00 p.m. local time on Saturday, June 20.
Blinds will be 15,000/30,000 with a 30,000 big blind ante. Play is expected to continue until a winner is declared.
