A New 2-7 Triple Draw Champion Will Be Crowned Tonight

Nick Pupillo
Nick Pupillo

After two days of intense triple draw action inside the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, a field that was once 657 has been whittled down to its final 12 hopefuls in Event #58: $1,500 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw. Each of them has already locked up $8,211 for making it this far, but their sights are firmly set on the $161,313 grand prize and bracelet that awaits the winner at the end of the night.

Among the top stacks sits Nick Pupillo (1,745,000), who will return third in chips as the day commences at 1 p.m. local time. Pupillo knows what it's like to hoist the title in a draw event: in 2023, Pupillo won the $2,500 Mixed Game draw event that featured 2-7 Triple Draw as one of its games on rotation.

While Pupillo might be the one to watch, he's surrounded by an accomplished field that contains no fewer than six other bracelet winners in Evan Sandberg, Ian Pelz, Michael Rodrigues, Steve Billirakis, Daniel Strelitz, and Sean Troha. Troha, who won three gold bracelets in Omaha events, will be returning as the shortest stack in the room.
