Hogan Triples; Stann Busts
Limits: 25,000-50,000
A five-bet pre-draw pot was being contested between small blind Douglas Hogan, under the gun Dave Stann, and Pedro Neves on his direct left.
Once the bet was capped, Hogan and Stann both drew one, with Neves taking two. Action checked through, and each player took the same number of cards.
After the second draw, Hogan moved all in for his final 20,000. Stann then raised to 45,000, and Neves raised again, putting Stann all in. Stann put in the call.
Hogan stood pat with 8x7x6x5x3x, which became the hand to beat. Stann and Neves had both thrown away one card.
Neves was first to peel, as the covering stack, and his 7x4x3x2x was joined by an ace. Stann was drawing smooth, and had outs to scoop. He told the table he had thrown away a six, and couldn't believe it as he peeled the 6♦ to lose both the main and the side pot.
