Thomas Savitsky Leads Star-Studded Final Six after Day 2 of the $1,500 Seven Card Stud
Low Card: 20,000
Completion: 50,000
Limits: 50,000-100,000
It was moving day today for Event #6: $1,500 Seven Card Stud here at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas for the second day of limit action. 359 total players came out for this event to generate a prize pool of $476,572. Just 62 players returned for Day 2 today, but only 54 would be in the money and guaranteed a minimum cash of $3,059. However, by night's end just six players remain in contention for the WSOP bracelet and the first-place prize of $103,184.
Leading the way is New Jersey native Thomas Savitsky who bagged up 3,000,000. Savitsky has tournament cashes dating back to 2002, primarily in No Limit Hold'em, but he has accumulated some mixed game results as well. He will need to finish in the top two to achieve a career high score, but he has put himself in a position to do just that after a strong finish to the day.
