Bradley Jansen: XxXx / A♥3♠3♥6♦ / Xx
Kazuhiro Shirasawa: XxXx / 10♦Q♣A♦5♥ / Xx
Hasan Kural: XxXx / 7♦J♠6♥10♥ / Xx - folded on seventh street
Action picked up on fourth as Jansen led with the ace up and both opponents put in the call.
Jansen kept up the pressure the whole way, leading every street. On seventh, Shirasawa took some time before he elected to call, and Kural got out of the way.
Jansen revealed 8♥5♣3♦ in the hole for trip threes, but they were second best as Shirasawa tabled K♥J♣10♠ in the hole for broadway and he scooped a sizeable pot off the start-of-day chipleader as the bubble looms.
Justin Smith: XxXx/K♥2♥9♠K♣
Bradley Jansen: XxXx/8♦Q♣5♠7♠ - folded on sixth street
Justin Smith completed with his king and found one caller in Bradley Jansen.
Jansen called bets from Smith on fourth and fifth street, but laid his hand down after Smith paired his king and bet on sixth to take a bit of a hit to his monster stack.
Jonathan Krela: A♥A♦ / Q♥8♣A♠2♥ / Xx
Kyle Hinnerichs: Q♠3♥ / 3♠A♣4♣3♣ / Xx
Action picked up on fourth as Hinnerichs check-called a bet from Krela.
On fifth, Krela checked-raised a bet from Hinnerichs who called. The rest of Krela's 11,000 chips found their way into the middle on sixth.
Hinnerichs proudly revealed his trip threes, only to be shown the trip aces of Krela, who was poised for the full double. However, Hinnerichs peeled the miracle 3♦ on seventh, leaving Krela drawing dead with no aces available as he was eliminated in brutal fashion.
With the 2026 World Series of Poker now well underway, 359 Stud enthusiasts made their way to the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas for Event #6 $1,500 Seven Card Stud. Of those, only 62 players will return today at 1 p.m. for Day 2.
Leading the pack is one-time bracelet winner Bradley Jansen, who managed to secure a stack worth 363,500 by the time the last hand was dealt. Right on his heels, however, is five-time bracelet winner Brian Yoon with 326,500. Vasu Amarapu rounds out the top three heading into Day 2 with 315,500.
Yoon has proven his poker prowess not only in Hold'em (which accounts for three of his bracelets), but also in mixed-game events. In 2021, Yoon won the $10,000 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw Championship, and in 2023, Yoon won the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship. Another bracelet for Yoon would put him in an elite club of six-time bracelet winners along with players such as Brian Hastings, Jeremy Ausmus, and Shaun Deeb.
