Renan Bruschi raised to 13,000 from the hijack and was called by James Tilton from the cutoff. It folded to Michael Moncek, who was in the big blind. He shoved for 159,000 and only Bruschi called.
Moncek drew one, while Bruschi stood pat.
Michael Moncek: 9♦6♥5♥2♠
Renan Bruschi: 10♠9♥6♠3♦2♥
Bruschi had a ten-nine, meaning Moncek needed an eight, seven, four or three to survive. He quickly turned over the 7♥ and doubled up.
On the next deal, Bruschi raised to 13,000 again. Josh Arieh called from the cutoff before Moncek and Maksim Pisarenko came along from the blinds.
Moncek drew one, while Pisarenko took two. Bruschi stood pat and Arieh drew one.
It checked to Arieh in the final betting round, and he fired out 50,000. Moncek quickly called, putting the action on Pisarenko. He tanked for quite some time, but eventually flicked in a call. Brsuchi got out of the way.
Arieh announced a nine-eight, but Moncek took in the pot when he tabled 9♥6♠5♣4♠3♥.
