Johnson Sends Off Kruse; Sammartino Also Gone

Level 10
Max Kruse
Max Kruse

No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Single Draw

Max Kruse opened to 16,000 from under the gun before David Benyamine made it 125,000 from the cutoff. Kruse mulled over his options, before calling and leaving around 29,000 behind.

Kruse drew one, while Benyamine remained pat.

After peeling his card, Kruse let out a deep exhale and gestured a fold. Benyamine was still kind enough to show he had Kruse beat with 10x9x5x4x2x.

On the next deal, Ryan Miller raised to 14,000 from middle position and was called by Marco Johnson from the button. Kruse then put in his last 22,000 from the big blind. Miller made it 59,000 and Johnson called.

All three players drew one, and then Miller and Johnson checked it through to showdown.

Johnson tabled 10x8x6x5x3x which bested Miller. Kruse was drawing dead, as he was showing a ten-nine draw. He looked at his final card, sent it back to the table and exited the tournament.

Elsewhere, Dario Sammartino was eliminated.
