Triple Draw Costs Kostritsyn All

Level 14
Alexander Kostritsyn
Alexander Kostritsyn

2-7 Lowball Triple Draw

Gus Hansen raised in the cutoff, Alexander Kostritsyn three-bet on the button, and Roy Thung tossed in a four-bet from the small blind. Hansen folded before the draw, while Kostritsyn called.

Thung and Kostritsyn each tossed one on the draw, then checked it to the second draw. They threw in one card each again, but this time Thung bet after. Kostritsyn called to the final draw, where he took one card after Thung had remained pat.

Thung bet, and Kostritsyn tabled a pair before he folded.

Kostritsyn was left with just 26,000, which he committed the next hand from the cutoff. Thung raised on the button, getting the pot heads up. Thung remained pat throughout the three draws, with Kostritsyn taking two, then one, and finally one again on the last draw.

Alexander Kostritsyn: 8x6x3x2x All in
Roy Thung: 9x7x6x3x2x

Kostritsyn's final card was a Jx, eliminating him from the PPC. A few seconds later, Yosuke Miki was also knocked out at another table.
