Phil Ivey raised to 150,000 from the button and Paul Volpe called from the big blind. Both players drew one, and checked. Volpe announced he had paired up, showing 5x4x4x3x2x. Ivey gave him the nod, that the pair of fours were enough to scoop. "Fours perfect," joked Benny Glaser.
Volpe opened to 175,000 on the next hand, and Glaser defended the big blind. Volpe drew one while Glaser took two. Volpe fired out 200,000, and after some thinking time, Glaser called. Volpe paired up again, and Glaser's Qx8x6x3x2x was good for the pot.
Volpe made it 175,000 form the button and Glaser called from the small blind. Glaser had a one draw, while Volpe stood pat. A 250,000 bet came from Glaser and Volpe folded.
