Dokell Can't Crack LeBeau's Aces
Peter Magarelli raised to 6,000 from early position and the action folded to Robert LeBeau in the hijack. LeBeau paused for a while, causing the dealer to remind him of the raise size a few times. LeBeau responded, "No, I am just figuring out what to raise it to," before sliding out a stack of yellow T-1,000 chips and three-betting to 20,000.
Michael Dokell cold-called from the big blind, and Magarelli came along as well, sending the three players to the 6♣2♣6♠ flop.
After two checks, LeBeau jammed for his last 32,000. Dokell immediately called, while Magarelli folded.
Robert LeBeau: A♥A♦
Michael Dokell: K♣K♠
It was a brutal cooler of aces versus kings that somehow hadn't gotten all the chips in preflop.
Dokell picked up a flush draw on the 4♣ turn, but the Q♠ to complete the board was safe for LeBeau, and he doubled to more than 100,000.
