Mullaly Wins a Massive Pot without Showdown
Mauro Ferreira opened to 160,000 from the button, and Myles Mullaly in the big blind called to see a flop.
The dealer fanned out A♠10♥5♥. Mullaly check-called Ferreira's 160,000 continuation bet.
After action was checked to him on the K♥ turn, Ferreira took his time to consider his move before putting in 500,000 in the middle of the table. Mullaly responded with his own tanking before finally making the call.
On the river 5♦ and with action passed to him again, Ferreira took quite a significant amount of time before firing 800,000 into the pot.
Mullaly mulled over his actions, alternately looking at the board, the pot, and Ferreira. Finally tired of the back-and-forth tanking between the two players, someone called for the clock. In the final ten seconds, Mullaly threw in one chip for a call, prompting Ferreira to muck his hand instantly.
A bit surprised, the dealer and some players had to clarify if it was a muck. Ferreira confirmed before the dealer pushed the pot toward a visibly amused Mullaly, who also didn't show his hand.
