Straight on the Board Results in a Chop for Richez

Clement Richez open-jammed for 28,000 in early position and Nikolai Mamut in late position called. When action folded to the big blind, Gonzalo Lopez joined in to see the flop.

The flop came 635. Lopez fired 16,000 and Mamut called. Richez started shaking his head as he watched the action before him.

Both players checked the 4 turn, but on the 7 river, Lopez fired 75,000 which was enough to make Mamut fold and take Richez to showdown.

Lopez showed J3 while Richez who continued shaking his head tabled KK. Lopez won the side pot but because of of the straight on the board, Lopez and Richez chopped the pot.

Heads-up play was already underway with 40,000 in the pot. The flop came J3J. Leonidas Arpino in middle position bet 10,000 and Mohamad El Rais on the button called.

On the turn 3, Arpino checked the action to El Rais, who fired 22,000. Arpino went beyond and made it 60,000 sending El Rais to think about his options. After a few seconds, he conceded both the hand and the pot to Arpino.
