Day 2 of Event #68: $1,000 Ladies No-Limit Hold'em Championship at the World Series of Poker has concluded at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. Of the 1,475 entrants who took to the felt, 338 players returned for Day 2. After another action-packed day of poker, just 48 hopefuls remain, each still chasing the coveted WSOP gold bracelet.
The remaining 48 players return with their sights set on a share of the $1,298,000 prize pool, with $194,630 and the coveted WSOP gold bracelet awaiting the eventual champion. A total of 222 players finished in the money, and the money bubble burst in dramatic fashion after just one round of hand-for-hand play.
Sinead Davenport was the bubble girl when her pocket kings ran into Jixin Zhou’s big slick.
Katherine Porrello began Day 2 as the chip leader, but saw her fortunes change after losing a massive pot to Cherish Andrews just before the dinner break. She returned with a significantly shorter stack and was ultimately eliminated in 110th place, earning $2,207.
First place in chips was tied between Shannon Fahey and Aubrey Williams, both holding 1,665,000 in chips. Fahey has over $400k in tournament earnings, and Williams has just over $300k, according to the Hendon Mob.
Third in chips is Andrews. Andrews is once again proving why she is one of the most feared players in poker. A former Global Poker Index Female Player of the Year and a World Series of Poker bracelet winner, Andrews sits near the top of the chip counts in the Ladies Championship, positioning herself for another deep run at one of poker's most prestigious titles. This is also great news for anyone who chose Andrews in their 25K Fantasy Draft.

Action will resume tomorrow, June 27th, at noon local time with a delayed live stream, for which live updates will be synchronized. Blinds will continue at Level 21 with 10,000/20,000 and 20,000 ante. There will be 15-minute breaks every two levels and a dinner break yet to be announced. Play will continue until a champion is crowned.
