Chen New Chip Leader with Hero Call
On a hand 30 seconds before the break, Aubrey Williams limped on the button and Skye Chen defended her blind with a 1,100,000 raise. Williams called to see the flop.
As the dealer flopped 3♠J♥8♥, Williams asked the floor if the clock would be paused for the hand. The floor replied that after the hand the players would get the full 15-minute break.
Action resumed with both players checking, leading them to the turn. Chen check-called William's 1,650,00 bet on the 2♣ turn to see the last card.
After action was once again checked to her, Williams looked at the screen showing the board and took her time to consider her next move. After a couple of minutes, she announced all-in on the 7♣ river.
Chen, visibly flustered, said "why an all-in instead of a bet?". She then went into the tank for a good five minutes, trying to puzzle through the hand. Chen finally made the call, putting her tournament life at risk.
Williams tabled Q♦9♦ for a busted straight draw and Chen showed A♣10♣ for ace-high.
