This year's nominees for the Poker Hall of Fame have been announced, with the eight individuals now heading to the living members of the Hall for voting.
Each member can vote for up to four nominees, with anyone receiving votes from 22 or more members earns an automatic induction. This change, from a previous "winner-takes-all" format allowing for only one induction per year, was announced earlier this month.
Five of the eight nominees are first-time nominees, having met the minimum age requirement of 40. Eight-time WSOP bracelet winner Shaun Deeb headlines these players, and he is joined by Jason Koon, Isaac Haxton, Chris Moorman and Justin Bonomo.

The $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better returns to the WSOP schedule on June 25, as Event #69 of the 2026 World Series of Poker. This split-pot classic is a staple for mixed-game enthusiasts, offering a test of memory, discipline, and the pursuit of the "scoop."
A firm favorite among those who prefer the traditional pace of Stud, this event provides players the chance to compete for a coveted gold bracelet and what is expected to be a substantial prize pool.
Play will begin at 2 p.m. on June 25, with players navigating 15 levels on Day 1. Each level lasts 40 minutes, ensuring the action moves at a steady clip. Late registration remains open until the start of Level 10, giving entrants ample opportunity to enter the field during the first several hours of play.
Survivors will return on June 26 as the field narrows toward the money bubble. The final table is expected to take place on June 27, where the next champion will be crowned under the lights of the Horseshoe Event Center.
In 2025, Slovenia’s Blaz Zerjav made headlines by capturing his second bracelet of that summer in this very event, defeating poker legend Huck Seed heads-up.
After his victory, an emotional Zerjav told PokerNews, "It's unbelievable. I never even dreamed of this," noting that winning in such a different format from his previous High Roller victory made the run all the more meaningful.
