Starostin Improves to a Two-Pair, No Chop

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Leonardo Daviglus in early position opened to 25,000 and Ivan Starostin in hijack called. Huabao Chen on the button, asked how much Starostin had behind before potting for 116,000.

Daviglus got out of the escalating pressure. Starostin, with around 800,000 behind, took some time to consider his options before betting the pot, prompting Chen to bet pot until they were in an all-in showdown.

Ivan Starostin: AA83 All in
Huabao Chen: AA96

Both players had aces when the board ran K8J310. There was slight confusion if it were a chop but it was pointed out that Starostin's hand improved to a two-pair.
