Caldas Misses the Pay Jump
Caue Silva opened to 3,000,000 from early position and action folded around slowly to Carlos Caldas who called from the big blind. He left himself with just 1,000,000 behind as there was a hefty pay jump of about $8,000 at stake.
The J♠J♣10♦ flop was dealt and Caldas tanked before moving in his final stack, and Silva snap-called.
Carlos Caldas: Q♠3♠
Caue Silva: A♦K♥
Caldas had ran into Silva's big slick. There was more hope for Caldas after seeing the 9♥ turn which gave him some straight draw outs, but the J♦ river didn't bring it in, and he hit the rail in 27th place for $32,250. Sebastian Arce and Evan Pantano also took home the same prize as they bust just before Caldas.
All remaining players have now locked up at least $41,000, and are sat at the final three tables.
