Negreanu Makes a Wheel, But Doesn't Have To

Level 9

Daniel Negreanu: XxXx / 2543 / Xx
Ben Yu: XxXx / 665J / Xx

Daniel Negreanu and Ben Yu were heads-up to fourth street after Yu completed and Negreanu called from the bring-in. Yu opted to check-call after making open sixes.

Yu would continue to check-call bets on fifth and sixth as Negreanu showed four to a wheel.

On seventh, Yu check-folded to a final bet from Negreanu after a short tank.

"I started with this," Negreanu explained as he showed 52 in the hole, which was just two pair and no low. However, he showed that the final card he received was the A, making the wheel on seventh as he collected the pot.

The frustration of Chudnovsky grew further when he completed and called a three-bet by Suzuki soon after. Suzuki bet from fourth to sixth street picking up calls, then checked behind on seventh street to scoop the pot with a pair of sevens only.

Kalas had been down to as little as 3,000 but won two hands to get back into contention.
