Matakis Slides Down

Level 4 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Ian Matakis limped on the button for 5,000 and Farid Jattin called from the small blind. Jeremy Druckman checked the big blind and the players saw a AA10 flop. Action was checked to the 4 turn and the blinds checked to Matakis who bet 10,000. Jattin raised to 24,000 and both players mucked.

The next hand saw Matakis in the cutoff and in a hand with Naoya Kihara who defended his big blind to see the A93 flop.

The pot stood at 45,000 and Kihara checked to Matakis who bet 15,000. Kihara made a quick call and both checked to see the 2 turn.

Kihara moved out 55,000 which was enough for Matakis to fold his hand and he slid down just over half a starting stack.
