Players were already heads up and on the 10♦5♥8♥ flop with a pot of around 80,000. Phillipp Mellon was in middle position and against Sergio Martinez Gonzalez in the hijack.

Gonzalez had just re-raised to cover Mellon's stack and action was on Mellon to make the call for his tournament life. He picked up his remaining chips and committed them to the pot, having his entire 620,000 stack at risk.
