Negreanu Plays Nice
Level 7
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Jason Koon limped from early position and Daniel Negreanu called from the hijack. Josh Arieh raised to 50,000 on the button and only Negreanu called.
The 6♣4♥2♥ flop prompted both to check to the 7♠ turn and again to the 5♣ river.
No more bets were made and Arieh announced, "I have ace-king," as he was just about to flip over his hand. Negreanu said, "I beat that," and flipped over his K♠J♦10♣7♦ for a pair of sevens. Arieh tilted his hand back face down and threw his cards into the muck.
