Ausmus Downs Yockey in Two Hands
There was 1,200,000 in the pot on the 10♥Q♥2♠7♦7♥ board, with Bryce Yockey and Jeremy Ausmus battling for it.
Ausmus checked in the small blind, and Yockey fired out 850,000 from early position. Ausmus used a few time banks, counted out the bet and slid in the call. Yockey just mucked and Ausmus took in the sizable pot.
On the next deal, Yockey limped in from under the gun before Ausmus made it 270,000 from the button. Yockey potted it to 900,000, leaving 505,000 behind. Ausmus called.
Yockey shoved on the 9♥8♣4♣ flop and Ausmus quickly called for the cards to go on their backs.
Bryce Yockey: A♠A♦5♣2♠
Jeremy Ausmus: K♠Q♣J♣9♠
Yockey's aces were ahead until Ausmus made trips on the 9♦ turn. The 6♣ river completed the board, and Yockey exited two spots shy of the money.
