With mystery bounty prizes not introduced until Day 2, for many it was a case of locking up a stack before then. As a result, plenty of big names jumped into the event, and advanced, including WSOP bracelet winner Jason Daly who picked up his third bracelet earlier this summer in Event #4: $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo Eight or Better.
Others advancing include Anson Tsang (374,000), David "ODB" Baker (265,000), Brandon Shack-Harris (235,000), Phil Hui (215,000), Joao Simao (145,000), Bryce Yockey (121,000), Mike Matusow (89,000), Josh Reichard (85,000), Ari Engel (78,000) and Dylan Linde (40,000).
Day 2 resumes at 1 p.m on Thursday, July 9 with the plan to play down to a winner. PokerNews live coverage gets underway today, so follow along until a champion is crowned at the Paris and Horseshoe Las Vegas.
