Kovalchuk Scoops a Monster for the Chip Lead
Level 27
: Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Vladimir Kovalchuk opened to 300,000 from late position and action folded to Luke Dainton in the cutoff who four-bet all in for 4,100,000.
It came back to Kovalchuk who thought for a while and made the call to put Dainton at risk.
Luke Dainton: A♠K♣
Vladimir Kovalchuk : 9♣9♦
The flop came 2♠3♠7♠ and gave Dainton additional flush outs to go along with his pair outs. Nothing changed on the J♥ turn and when the river bricked out with the 8♥ Dainton was sent to the rail whilst Kovalchuk raked in the massive pot to soar over the ten million chip mark.
