Murphy Loses the Battle of the Blinds
Level 25
: Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Kyle Dishongh opened to 185,000 from the small blind and Ricky Murphy called from the big blind.
The 10♣9♣5♣ flop saw Dishongh bet 90,000 and Murphy moved all in for approximately 680,000. It didn't take Dishongh long to make the call and the pair tabled their hands.
Ricky Murphy: 10♦3♦
Kyle Dishongh: K♣5♠
Murphy had flopped top pair, but Dishongh had also hit the pot with a pair of fives and was on the hunt for the club flush.
A Q♥ turn didn't change the standings, but Murphy hit the rail after the 8♣ was placed.
