Level 17
Yannick Jobin
Yannick Jobin

Razz

Ryan Moriarty limped, Yannick Jobin put his last 2,000 into the middle on his left, Dylan Weisman limped, and Matthew Beinner was the bring-in.

Yannick Jobin: XxXx / AxJx9x6x / Xx All in
Dylan Weisman: XxXx / 5x3xAxQx / Xx - folded on seventh street
Matthew Beinner: XxXx / Jx5x - folded on fourth street
Ryan Moriarty: XxXx / 2x7x8xAx / Xx

Moriarty bet on fourth and only Weisman called. Weisman then led on sixth.

Moriarty retook the board lead on sixth and bet. He led a final time on seventh, getting a fold from Weisman.

Jobin knew his fate was sealed as he flipped over Jx9x3x for a jack-nine, and Moriarty had 6x4x3x in the hole for number two, and Jobin was eliminated.

Omaha Hi-Lo

Marco Johnson raised in the small blind, Derek McMaster three-bet from the big blind, and Johnson called.

On the 1085 flop, the last of McMaster's chips were in the middle for less than a small bet.

Derek McMaster: KKQJ All in
Marco Johnson: 9762

Johnson had a wrap with a low draw against the overpair of McMaster. The 6 turn gave Johnson the straight, leaving McMaster drawing dead.

McMaster and Jobin will split 69th place, with Jobin receiving $3,020 and McMaster $3,019. How the remaining dollar is distributed remains a mystery to all.

The remaining 68 players are in the money are guaranteed a minimum cash of $6,039.

Fishman Survives Again

Level 17

Razz

Ray Fishman was forced all-in after bringing in, Thomas Taylor limped.

Ray Fishman: 4x3x/KxKx5x6x/Xx All in
Thomas Taylor: 9x2x/JxAx4x10x/Xx

Taylor peeled up a 4x, meaning that Fishman would need to beat a ten to survive. Fishman peeled up his final card and a look of excitement crossed his face.

"The worst six!" screamed Fishman as he showed an Ax for six-five.

"That's not even the worst six," said table mate Bryce Yockey. "Learn how to play this game!"

A few hands later, Jake Schwartz also doubled in the Razz round to leave Fishman as the shortest at his table.

Fishman Finds Sweaty Survival; Rechnitzer Doubles Through Brannan

Razz

On the third hand of hand-for-hand, Ray Fishman was forced all-in for 1,000 from the ante. Larry Tull limped, Bryce Yockey limped, and Mike Wattel was the bring in.

Ray Fishman: XxXx / 4xJx8xAx / Xx All in
Larry Tull: XxXx / 3xKx7xQx / Xx
Bryce Yockey: XxXx / 2xQxKx2x / Xx - folded on seventh street
Mike Wattel: XxXx / 8x8xKx4x / Xx

The side pot checked through until seventh, when Wattel bet and Tull called.

"That's really, really bad," Yockey informed Fishman.

Wattel showed 9x5x2x in the hole for a nine-eight, while Tull had 9x5x4x for a nine-seven to win the side.

Fishman had yet to look at his cards, and the first one was a four-across, which could not help him, and it was a 10x.

The second one was a two-sider, which was 50/50 to improve his hand, but the suit revealed that it had to be a 5x.

He needed a two, three, six, or seven to survive, and he peeled a three-across diamond, giving him another 50/50 chance at survival as the cameras and other players swarmed the table. He flipped over the 6, securing his survival as he got back up to 6,000 chips.

"I had them board-locked!" Fishman repeatedly announced as the other short stacks looked on with frustration.

Razz

At another table, George Rechnitzer was all in on fifth street, at risk against Frank Brannan.

George Rechnitzer: 8x5x / Ax3x4x6x / 5x All in
Frank Brannan: 6x2x / Qx7xAxKx / 6x

Brannan had a small chance of eliminating Rechnitzer when the money went in, but was drawing dead on sixth as Rechnitzer made a six.

Two Brutal Set-Over-Set Coolers Send High-Stakes Pros Out of WSOP Main Event

Level 16
Sandvik & Tsai
Sandvik & Tsai

If one set-over-set cooler wasn't painful enough, the 2026 World Series of Poker Main Event produced two within moments of each other on different tables. Both were every bit as brutal as the bad beat that kicked off Day 6.

High-stakes pros Espen Sandvik and Andy "Andy Stacks" Tsai both saw deep runs come to heartbreaking ends on Day 6 after flopping or turning sets, only to discover their opponents held even bigger ones.

Tsai is best known for battling in some of the biggest cash games in the world, while Sandvik is no stranger to the high roller circuit either, with numerous cashes in $25,000 buy-in events. Neither could survive one of poker's nastiest coolers.

Sterling Lopez: XxXx/A74J/Xx

Lopez bet on fourth street and fifth street once action checked to him and Najera called each time.

On sixth street Lopez bet to see Najera raise and Lopez called.

Both players checked on seventh street to see Najera table Q96 for a ten-high straight. Lopez briefly showed A8Xx before mucking.

"I'm drawing to a foul," said Leah as he showed A10 for two of his cards. The final peel was not a foul deck card and Leah would be eliminated from the tournament outside of the money.

Roberto Najera: A3 / 25910 / Xx

Neither player could find any improvement, and going into seventh street, Najera was still ahead with ace-high.

Najera revealed first as he flipped over the K, finishing with ace-high. However, Bronshtein found no help either, peeling the 4 on the end to be left with queen-high, and he was eliminated three spots from the money.
