Au, Au, Ouch

The hand was joined on the flop with the pot stocked with some 3,000,000 chips.

The board read 6♦J♠6♥.

Cary Jones checked from early position. Dan Au moved all in, and Jones immediately called with less.

Cary Jones: 9♠9♦
Dan Au: 8♣8♦

Au let out a huge whiff of disappointment at seeing his pocket pair outpipped by one.

The turn of the 8♥ changed all of that, of course, and the J♣ on the river made it a full house for the takedown.

"Ouch," a tablemate said.

Au said he was going to either jam or call, no matter what was on the flop.

"It was destiny,"he said.
